The UK government commits a war crime as it admits to bombing Yemen.

On the 29^th April 2025 UK RAF planes bombed Yemen as confirmed by the UK Ministry of Defence. There was no Parliamentary debate on the decision to bomb a country posing no military threat to the UK.

Like the Conservatives before them, the UK Labour government joined the US, in bombing Yemen on the pretext of protecting international trade routes. Yemen has only resumed its disruption of trade routes after Israel unilaterally broke the ceasefire in Gaza earlier this year.

The real reason to bomb Yemen is the UK’s unwavering support for the Israeli Zionist genocide of the Palestinian people. Starmer apes the Israel first policy of the US as he clearly stands alongside the Trump-Netanyahu alliance of slaughter. For months now, the British RAF Akotiri air base in Cyprus has provided refuelling support to US aircraft as they conducted multiple airstrikes on Yemen, strikes that have killed over 500 innocent civilians.

The UK government are not just complicit in the murder of Yemeni citizens, they are active partners in the criminal genocide in Gaza. Hundreds of ‘surveillance flights’ from this airbase continue to provide intelligence to Israel as well facilitate the transfer of weapons to the Zionist entity. Those very same weapons and information are used to kill Palestinian men, women and children.

Healey claimed the strikes were affecting the economic situation of British families. In fact, this government couldn’t care less about the British people, it simply cares about supporting the US led, Israel first government of Donald Trump. A much more effective way to resolve the situation would be to pressure Israel to end its genocide of the Palestinian people.

There has been little media coverage of the UK bombing, is this because our government chooses to support Israel, a pariah state facing charges of genocide at the International Court of Justice?

So, what can you do, organise yourself, your networks, your mosques, write to your MP and demand the UK government stops bombing Yemen, stops the surveillance flights over Gaza and stops the aiding and abetting the genocidal state of Israel.
