Do you condemn Hamas?

It’s a question which we hear time and time again across mainstream western media outlets.  It’s a trick question.  Hamas is a proscribed organisation in many countries in the West.  So, if we say ‘no’, we could be facing prison time or dismissed from our jobs.  However, if we say ‘yes’, we are affirming, mainstream media’s narrative that Muslims are the bad guys, who can’t handle democratic values. 

Talking about a threat to democracy, which country is trying to ban protests from taking place by calling the protesters who are calling for a ceasefire, extremists?

If anyone should condemn, it should be western mainstream media who are the voices for the Government!

Which country committed the holocaust? 

Which country actually used nuclear weapons?

Which countries are responsible for the killing of over one million Iraqi children and said it was a “price worth paying”?

Which countries enslaved and colonised many parts of the world?

Which countries broke up the Middle East into small defenceless states?

And finally

Which country gave a land belonging to a people, to a third group of people, who lived in the West?

The answer to all these questions are countries in the so-called enlightened Western world.

So if anyone should be condemning, then they should be first ones to condemn.  After that, then they can ask, in which our answer will be that we condemn anyone who kills innocent people, as we believe that all war crimes should be accounted for and not just dismissed as collateral damage.

Learn to be confident as Muslims. 

We are defenders of the oppressed.
