Iraq – How the West Terrorised Millions of Civilians And Got Away With It
Just over 20 years ago, Weapons of Mass Destruction from the US, UK and other countries made life a living hell for millions of Iraqis. But why? We know now, as we knew then, that Hans Blix, the former UN Weapons Inspectors, couldn’t find any significant threat from any weapons that Iraq has.
In an interview with CNN reporter Christine Amanpour, Hans stated “There were about 700 inspections, and in no case did we find weapons of mass destruction”.
George Bush and Tony Blair took our countries into Iraq, destroying hundreds of thousands of lives, for what reason? There was no threat to the UK and USA from Iraq’s WMDs because Saddam Hussein didn’t have any. You could not suggest that this was the reason for the attack on a sovereign state as there was no fear of retaliation.
In a report by the Medical Journal “The Lancet”, 600,000 civilians lost their lives.
Millions were displaced. Even the lives of the millions who remained were shattered due to this invasion. Who was held accountable? Were George Bush or Tony Blair ever put on trial for their crimes of ordering military personnel to drop bombs on the homes of civilians? We all know Saddam Hussein was tried, convicted and punished by a death sentence for his crimes, so where was the trial against Bush and Blair, whose crimes destroyed millions of lives and left a whole country struggling to provide security for its citizens ever since?
Many will say, there’s nothing we can do, millions marched in the UK against the Iraq war but the war still took place.
Yes they marched, but then nothing. Look at the situation today in the UK, strikes for the Public Sector workers are happening but not just for one day – they continue until they get heard.
That’s why we at MPACUK believe in political participation, to make our voices heard as equal citizens of this country.
So I ask you, dear reader, when are you going to get organised behind a longterm plan to get Bush and Blair on trial for their war crimes against a civilian population? It’s time we got ourselves heard for our religious obligation of justice. Start that process by joining MPACUK: https://www.bit.ly/volunteer-MPACUK
