When the migration from India and Pakistan to England in the 1950s and 60s took place, those who migrated generally showed brotherly support for each other.  Although the wars between India and Pakistan in the past have been brutal, both communities when migrating to the UK shared a relatively common culture and appreciation for each other as that they were all facing the same levels of racism.

This brotherly love was shoved out of the window in Leicester 2022.

We were told it was about religious festivals and a cricket match, but the truth is that something very sinister is going on and its happening our streets in the UK.  India’s Hindutva extremist ideology is spreading to outside India.

India was championed at one time as being the largest democracy where all people, no matter how they worshipped could feel safe.  This all changed with the appearance of Nahendra Modi into the political sphere.  In 2002, in the state of Gujarat, more than a thousand Muslims were killed and raped, in a massacre that was allegedly led by Modi.  To date there are no evidence of charges being pressed.

The Hindutva ideology lay at the roots as the extremist ideology for the killings in 2002, and for further brutal discrimination against minorities in 2022.

So why are we surprised that this ideology is now spreading to the UK when its never been condemned by any world leader in The West?  Had it been Islamic extremism, UK politicians would be falling over themselves condemning Islam and asking for all Muslims to apologise.  So why are they silent now?  Rishi Sunak, the first Prime Minister of a Hindu background hasn’t muttered even a single word.  Why would he? He didn’t start this trouble.  However he is PM of all British citizens, and this Hindutva ideology isn’t going to disappear any time soon.

Where is his support for fellow Briton Dr Chris Allen, a Hate Research expert who was investigating the clashes in Leicester?  Dr Allen had to pull out of the investigations just a few days after the investigation started.  Why do you think that was?  The facts point the finger to Hindu groups not accepting it.  Maybe Dr Allen wasn’t Islamophobic enough.

But shouldn’t have Rishi Sunak asked why too?  Shouldn’t he have encouraged Dr Allen to stay with it for the sake of community cohesion in the UK?  Yes, he should have.

It’s time for Rishi Sunak to speak out against Hindutva extremism.
