The Scottish Parliament tabled a motion to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Nakbah, when the ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Zionists began. This motion would recognise the illegal behaviour of Israel since its birth.

Richard Lyle MSP added an amendment, calling the brutal theft of Palestinian land a “self-inflicted tragedy”. This is nothing but an insult to the Palestinian struggle against an occupier that continues to steal their land and cleanse them from it.

On August 12-17th 2018, he visited occupied Palestine. The £2,200 trip was paid for by UK’s Israeli embassy. He is also deputy convener of the Scottish ‘Building Bridges With Israel’ group. It’s clear that Richard Lyle is just another pro-Israel stooge.
