The legality of the war against Iran depends on whether Iran was an imminent threat to the US. The US Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, was asked by Congressman Jon Ossoff in a Congressional hearing, whether in the opinion of the DNI that Iran was deemed an ‘imminent threat’ to the US? Instead of giving her honest answer (i.e. Iran wasn’t an imminent threat to the US), Gabbard said it was the President’s decision to make that judgement. That’s a lie. It’s the DNI Director’s job to give her threat assessment opinion to the President.

Then Joe Kent resigned as the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, stating that he cannot support the ongoing war in Iran, as Iran posed no imminent threat to the USA. Joe is a US special forces and CIA veteran who had made many sacrifices for the USA. The only reason it seems that he stepped down was that the war is illegal. Not only from a conscious viewpoint, but also that as it’s an illegal war, there will be consequences that those perpetuating the war could find themselves in the Hague accused of war crimes.

No imminent threat and no Congressional approval for war. The US Administration is too cowardly to admit it and the mainstream media won’t ask that one basic question. Imagine if it was the other way round, and Iran attacked first? Mainstream media would be having a field day with anyone showing any kind of support for Iran. In fact they already openly attack anyone who merely even suggests that Iran has a right to self defence. They are giving the green light to this war by not challenging any MP that appears on their show that this is an illegal war.

Any country that joins in this war against Iran, or any media outlet propagating for this war is breaking international law. Like all people who break the law, they must be held to account.

We have not forgotten the over 1 million killed in Iraq, and we will not forget this illegal war. Justice must be served.
