Dear Imams of the West
Asalaam Alaikum.
Our Ummah is bleeding. Those who hate us have plans for our First Qiblah to be destroyed. As you are the leader of the Ummah in your area, we ask you what have you done about it? What have you done to stop the thousands of children being killed in Gaza?
As taxpayers to a country which is complicit in aiding a Genocide how many times have you discussed this issue with your MP? Many times, your Masjid Committee have discussed issues regarding car parking and extensions to your masjid, however how many times have you asked your congregation to raise their voices to their MPs regarding Palestine? This didn’t start on Oct 7th, you have had decades to organise your congregation, but you have chosen to remain silent. What will you say to Allah, when He asks you what you did to help the oppressed?
You often quote hadiths in which we should follow, but we would like to quote a hadith to you.
The best jihad is the truth in the face of a tyrannical ruler. Sunan al-Nasā’ī 4209
Yes, you can’t speak to Netanyahu, however you can speak to your MP, with hundreds of brothers in your congregation. Our strength is in our numbers. You can organise to make a difference if you want to.
In 1992 when the war on our brothers and sisters In Bosnia took place, our youth were disfranchised and your silence in the matter was abhorrent, likewise your silence today can be mistaken for complicity.
As Muslims, it is our duty to defend the oppressed, yet your silence lets the oppressors continue this genocide.
You may think that if you say something against the Apartheid State that it may get you on the wrong side of the law. Then learn what you can and cannot say. Learn how to say with confidence that Genocide is wrong, then teach your congregation of hundreds of Muslims to stand for the truth and say ‘One day inshaAllah Palestine will be free’.
The Battle of Badr was for survival. The Quraish were much more in number. Allah showed that if Muslims take a stand then He will strengthen them in ways that they could never imagine.
You need to act today. Plan to organise yourselves.
This is for the survival of our brothers, sisters and children in Palestine. And Masjid Al Asqa.
Imagine this, that thousands, hundreds of thousands of Muslims in the UK write to their MP and start to rattle the cage of this MP – Zionist love affair. Imagine thousands of Muslims writing to the BBC saying that they will cancel the license fees.
This is when they will start to listen and take us seriously.
Muslims have never done this, but it is your job to guide your congregation to a path of justice.
If you want to start but don’t know how to, get in touch with our Volunteers at MPACUK. We are waiting for this movement to start.
May Allah give our Ummah strength to do the right thing Ameen.
Your fellow Muslims.
