Hizb ut-Tahrir UK is now a Proscribed Organisation

Hizb ut-Tahrir has been proscribed, making it a criminal offence to belong to the group, or invite support for it.

Now let’s be clear, MPACUK has never been a fan of this organisation and for many years we have had debates online. Hizb ut Tahrir suggesting that political participation in the UK is haram, and us, on the other end of the spectrum promoting political participation as a means of getting our voices across to the MPs, who can then speak against the rising issue of Islamophobia and be a force against the Zionist Apartheid regime.

One of the reasons why many Muslims feel that there is no point in political participation or that it is haram is due to this organisation.

However, isn’t this one of the values of British Society, freedom of speech?  Or is it ok now for MPs to take away our rights when it works out to be against their narrative?

Is Freedom of Speech only allowed when Muslims and Islam is being demonised or mocked?

Hizb ut Tahrir have never been accused for perpetrating terrorism on our soil or anywhere in the world.  This organisation hasn’t done anything of that nature.

However, now they are banned.

Is this the start of the government banning pro-Palestinian voices?

Register to vote now, say no to getting pro-Palestinian voices banned.
