Did your MP vote no to peace?

On Wednesday 15 November 2023, we held our collective breath thinking that maybe there would be ceasefire announced amidst the unrelenting slaughter of the Palestinians.  Maybe the MPs in UK, as democratically elected representatives of the British people, would finally choose the side of those who voted for them.  But no, they let the people of Britain down.  The overwhelming majority of people in this country are calling out for an immediate ceasefire.  We are sick and tired of seeing children being murdered by the Israeli military while they are sleeping in their beds.

MPs voted 293 to 125, a majority of 168 to reject the SNP’s King’s Speech amendment calling for “all parties to agree to an immediate ceasefire” in Gaza.

Our elected representatives have let down millions of people in Gaza including new born babies who are denied access to incubators, just because the Zionist Apartheid state say no.  They also let us down, the British people.  We are the ones who have power to elect whoever we want.

Our message to every single MP who voted ‘no’ or abstained in the vote to stop the killing of innocent children: We know who you are, we see you with blood on your hands and we will never forget your complicity in killing the children of Gaza.

We are rightly sickened by our MPs.

We will not forget.

We will not forgive.

Next election we will get you out.  Insha’Allah

MPAC were on the ground yesterday in the Ladywood ward of Birmingham, the constituency MP Shabana Mahmood abstained from the vote, which is no different to voting against it. MPs like Shabana Mahmood have taken the support of their constituents for granted and put their personal careers as part of Keir Starmers shadow cabinet ahead of decency and humanity.

We as people who care for the rights and humanity of all people, need to work together so that next election we say ‘No’ to those who show support to genocide

Join MPACUK today to find out what you can do to get the MPs who are enabling genocide against the people of Palestine kicked out.
