Calls for Boycott of Bollywood Movies Grows in Turkey
The boycott on India, specifically Bollywood, is growing globally.
Social media, celebrities and protests across the West are calling for the boycott of Indian registered products in response to the state-terrorism that is happening Kashmir right now.
One such place is Turkey.
Recently, a Turk activist has called for slapping a ban on release of Bollywood movies in Turkey. Ali Keskin took to Twitter and stated, “Indian films should be banned in Turkey!”
This came after Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned blatant and unabated atrocities of Indian forces in occupied-Kashmir during the 74th session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), while demanding to lift the curfew. Erdogan stressed on giving the right-to-self-determination to oppressed people of occupied-Kashmir as promised by the International Community decades ago.
