Since the attacks in Paris a lot of UK media coverage has been insensitive to Muslim suffering and/or fanned the flames of Islamophobia.

But today, Channel 4 News – usually a more balanced mainstream media outlet than most in the UK in some of its reporting – decided to top them all and invite the Islamophobic, and well-known fraudster, Ayaan Hirsi Ali!

Hirsi Ali is known for making outrageous & bigoted statements such as:

• calling Islam a “destructive, nihilistic cult of death” that should be “crushed”
• suggesting Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu be given the Nobel peace prize for bombing Gaza

She is trying to rebrand herself as someone who just wants “reform” of Islam to stop extremists, but her entire career has been about demonising all Muslims and condemning Islam at every turn.

So it was no surprise to hear her spout her vile Islamophobic nonsense on Channel 4 (C4) News.

On C4 News, she said:

• Islam is a death cult
• Islam must be reformed
• Muslims have a disgusting attachment to life after death – this needs to be challenged

Why did C4 News invite on this Islamophobe who has no expertise in discussing terrorism?

Why did they invite an Islamophobe who has LIED about so many things – from her background to facts about global wars?*

*Some facts about Ayaan Hirsi Ali:

1. She lied about her background. She lied about her name, when she was born, how her parents treated her, why & when she left Somalia, her marriage and so much more.  Her lies led to her being forced to resign from the Dutch Parliament. (Watch the full exposé on Hirsi Ali.)

2. She called for war on Islam. In a 2007 interview with Reason Magazine, Hirsi Ali said that there could only be positive changes if “Islam is defeated.” The magazine asked in a followup question, “Don’t you mean defeating radical Islam?” She responded, “No. Islam, period….I think that we are at war with Islam. And there’s no middle ground in wars.”

3. She referred to Islam as the ‘new fascism.’ From a 2007 interview with the London Evening Standard: “Just like Nazism started with Hitler’s vision, the Islamic vision is a caliphate….Sharia law is as inimical to liberal democracy as Nazism.”

4. She called Islam a ‘cult.’ Hirsi Ali drew fire from fellow atheists at Yale, who objected to her calling Islam a “nihilistic cult of death.”

5. She rationalised the actions of terrorist Anders Breivik. After Breivik killed dozens of people in an insane protest of Sweden’s integration of Muslims and non-whites, Hirsi Ali rationalised his violence, saying Breivik was “censored” by authorities for his writings in favor of Christian superiority and that he felt he had “no choice” but to commit terror.

6. She said Islam is the ‘greatest possible danger to world peace.’ In a 2010 interview in the Guardian, she said Islam “inspires in today’s world the greatest possible danger to world peace.”

7. Hirsi Ali made a staggering claim that “If you look at 70 percent of the violence in the world today, Muslims are responsible,” – Hirsi Ali has since publicly backed off her claim that Muslims are “responsible” for most of the violence in the world.
