ACTION ALERT! Register as a Labour supporter before 5pm on Wednesday 20th July to support Jeremy Corbyn
Jeremy Corbyn, one of the most pro-Palestinian, anti-war and anti-austerity politicians in this country, needs your help.
Recently, many of his MPs in the Parliamentary Labour Party have tried to force him out of his position as leader of the Labour Party.
They have triggered a Labour leadership contest. They tried to keep his name off the ballot but he will be on there.
But there is another twist.
Labour’s National Executive Committee (NEC) have decided that anyone that has joined as a supporter (i.e. for the £3 membership) of the Labour Party after 12th January is not allowed to vote in the upcoming leadership contest (which takes place on 21st September).
The new members can only vote in the contest if they pay a fee of £25.
But they only have between 5pm on 18th July and 5pm on 20th July to do so!
Many are outraged about this and have started petitions and considering legal action.
In the mean time, Jeremy Corbyn needs your support, so here is how you can play your part to make sure we have an ethical alternative to the Conservatives (and the many Tory-lite MPs in the Labour Party).
