Dr Arday was forced to resign after Nathan Cofnas made a series of allegations against him. Cofnas, a Zionist who also believes in anti-black racism, was fired for stating that academic institutions would rid themselves of black professors, due to a deficiency of intellect of black people. However ridiculous this claim sounded, the allegations by a known white supremacist were repeated by main stream media and over 220 articles were written condemning Dr Arday without any concrete evidence against him.

Main Stream media hounded Jason Arday to death amounting to a public lynching. Compare this to white professors who were accused of abuse against their students. Main stream media conveniently forgot to mention them in any great numbers.

The truth is that black and brown people are targets of institutional racism, they are seldom believed and are collectively punished for the crimes of a few.

This is why when we are the victims, we are lied to and our legitimate grievances are swept under the carpet. There is a genocide happening in Gaza, however, main stream media can’t even get themselves to mention the word “genocide”. Every time genocide is mentioned in relation to the Zionist treatment of Gaza, it is dismissed as soon as it’s mentioned. Main stream media has proved that it is institutionally racist which has led to their complicity in genocide.

Just imagine how many innocent lives would have been saved if they stuck to journalism and held those in power to account. That is why we must strive to stand for justice and speak truth to power whatever the consequences.
