There are concrete actions the government has recently committed to regarding antisemitism that can serve as an exact blueprint for tackling Islamophobia, racism against migrants and black and brown people full STOP!

The Policy Blueprints

In the government’s social cohesion action plan, Protecting What Matter, and its response to the Lord Mann review, several strict, measurable commitments were made to tackle antisemitism. You can explicitly ask your MP to demand the relevant ministers apply these identical mechanisms to counter Islamophobia and anti-migrant racism:

Mandatory Leadership & Workforce Training: The government mandated antisemitism training for NHS chairs and chief executives, alongside updated equality training for 1.5 million staff.
The Ask:* Demand that the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and the Home Office implement identical, quality-assured mandatory training specifically covering Islamophobia and anti-migrant bias across public sector leadership, local councils, and frontline civil servants.

• Adopting and Enforcing Clear Definitions: The government adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism to guide public bodies. While the government introduced a non-statutory definition of “anti-Muslim hostility”, it lacks the same institutional weight.
• The Ask: Request that the government formally integrate its definition of anti-Muslim hostility across all public infrastructure (such as schools, the NHS, and local government frameworks) with the same strict compliance metrics used for antisemitism.
• Targeted Protection and Community Funding: The government allocated emergency protective security funding specifically to safeguard Jewish communities, schools, and synagogues.
• The Ask: Push the Home Office to scale up equivalent, sustainable protective security funding for mosques, refugee accommodation centres, and community hubs that are being actively targeted by far-right violence.
