I am writing to you as a concerned citizen, to urge you to take immediate action regarding the UK government’s contracts with the US data analytics company Palantir Technologies Inc.

I am deeply concerned that public money is being awarded to a company facing serious, credible allegations of complicity in human rights violations, including those documented in the ongoing Israeli military assault on citizens of Gaza.

The Case Against Palantir

In June 2025, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, published a report titled “From Economy of Occupation to Economy of Genocide”. The report found “reasonable grounds to believe” that Palantir has provided Israel with predictive policing tools, military software infrastructure, and its Artificial Intelligence Platform—technology that enables the real-time integration of battlefield data. The report explicitly accuses Palantir and other tech firms of “profiting from genocide” and enabling a situation where “the repression of Palestinians has become progressively automated” .

These concerns are not abstract. Investigative reporting has revealed that Palantir’s software was “used by the Israeli military in several raids in Gaza” and deployed during military operations in Lebanon in 2024 .

Furthermore, Palantir’s own CEO, Alex Karp, has provided what the UN report calls “executive-level knowledge and purpose.” When confronted by a protester who said his company’s AI technology killed Palestinians, Karp responded: “Mostly terrorists, that’s true.”

Separately, Palantir builds an “Immigration Lifestyle Operating System” (“ImmigrationOS”) for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to track and target individuals for deportation.

Palantir’s Lucrative UK Government Contracts

Despite these grave allegations, the UK government has:

Awarded a £240 million contract to Palantir by the Ministry of Defence in December 2025. This was a direct award without a competitive tender process.

The UK government has also maintained a £330 million, seven-year contract for Palantir to build and run the NHS Federated Data Platform, storing sensitive patient data .

These decisions raise urgent questions about transparency and ethics. Internal government briefings warned Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, that Palantir’s reputation would hinder the platform’s rollout, they can not be trusted with the our data.

Action I Am Asking You to Take

I urge you to:

1. Sign Early Day Motion 65235, which notes the £240m no-bid MoD contract, expresses concern about “serious allegations of complicity in human rights violations,” and calls on the government to publish all records relating to the award decision.

2. Sign Early Day Motion 65316 (“Palantir and the NHS”), which calls for development of British alternatives so the NHS contract can expire.

3. Write to the Prime Minister demanding:

Immediate cancellation of all government contracts with Palantir

A public inquiry into how these contracts were awarded

Publication of all records relating to meetings with Palantir and Peter Mandelson

Raise this matter in the House of Commons to ensure proper parliamentary scrutiny.

Your Personal Involvement Raises Serious Questions

I am deeply concerned about your personal role in facilitating Palantir’s access to UK government contracts. In February 2025, you visited Palantir’s US headquarters accompanied by Peter Mandelson . Mandelson’s lobbying firm, Global Counsel, was employed by Palantir, and Mandelson’s association with Jeffrey Epstein has further tainted this relationship .

Following this visit, your government signed a “strategic partnership agreement” with Palantir to make Britain its “European HQ for defence.” Three months later, Palantir was awarded a £240 million Ministry of Defence contract without competitive tender—the largest ever awarded to the company by the department . A Palantir executive, Louis Mosley, even sits on the MOD’s Defence Industrial Joint Council .

The NHS Contract Must Also Be Cancelled

Despite internal government briefings warning Health Secretary Wes Streeting that Palantir’s “public perception” would hinder the rollout of the NHS Federated Data Platform and would “make it harder to go further,” your government has maintained this £330 million contract . Fewer than half of health authorities were using the technology by mid-2025 amid opposition from doctors and the public .

As Dr Tony O’Sullivan of Keep Our NHS Public stated, Palantir is “steeped in the blood of migrants hounded by Ice in the US and the people of Gaza and the West Bank” .

National Sovereignty Is at Risk

Other European nations have recognised the danger. Denmark is reportedly seeking to replace Palantir due to fears that sensitive data processed by the company could be accessible to the US government and the CIA. A Swiss army report similarly warned of this risk. The UK is becoming dangerously dependent on a US company with deep ties to the American intelligence community and a new, unpredictable US administration .

My Demands

I demand that you:

1. Immediately cancel all government contracts with Palantir, including:

2. The £240 million Ministry of Defence contract awarded in December 2025

3. The £330 million NHS Federated Data Platform contract

4. Launch an independent public inquiry into how these contracts were awarded, including examination of:

◦ Why the £240m MoD contract was awarded without competitive tender

◦ The role played by Peter Mandelson and Global Counsel in facilitating access to government

◦ The hiring of four former MoD officials by Palantir before and after contract awards

5. Publish all records relating to meetings between government officials, Palantir representatives, and Peter Mandelson

6. Conduct and publish full human rights due diligence on all future government contracts with technology companies

Your government has a choice. You can continue rewarding a company accused of enabling genocide, or you can stand on the side of human rights and withdraw public funds from Palantir immediately.

The world is watching. History will judge your legacy. Do not let it be said that you stood by while UK taxpayers funded companies complicit in grave human rights abuses.
