ACTION ALERT: Demand Ofcom Hold GB News Accountable

Urgent: OFCOM Complaint: Islamophobic GB News Broadcast, 4 February 2026

On the 4th February 2026, GB News aired a segment which claimed that some Pakistani men celebrate Eid by “inviting families round to rape white women.” which is a blatant lie and GB News needs to be held accountable. We have the right to be horrified by such a segment. The statement described is not just a lie or false information, it is a form of incendiary hate speech with the potential to cause real and serious harm, especially with Eid only 38 days away.

We must ALL come together and take collective action.

How You Can Take Action:

1. Contact OFCOM via their complaints form – THIS IS CRITICAL

Dear Ofcom Complaints Team,

I am filing a complaint regarding a GB News broadcast on 4 February 2026, in which the presenter stated that “Muslims celebrate Eid by abusing white girls,” and a guest suggested the alleged abusers were motivated by religion and racism.

These statements were presented as fact, not as allegations and falsely associate an entire religious community with criminal behaviour. Muslims have continually been the target of Islamophobic propaganda, which has contributed to a documented rise in hate crime against them. This broadcast therefore risks causing unjustified harm, offence, hostility and creates a foreseeable risk of real-world abuse or discrimination.

I believe the broadcast may breach the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, including:
• Section Two (Harm and Offence)
• Section Five (Due Accuracy)
• Public safety considerations relating to incitement and community cohesion.

I respectfully request that Ofcom investigate and consider appropriate regulatory action.

Yours faithfully,

Responsible Social Media Amplification
