ACTION ALERT: Demand The GMC Suspend Staveley
Subject: Urgent: GP’s Alleged Admission to War Crimes Requires Immediate Suspension and Investigation
This alert concerns Dr. Eastland Christopher Staveley (GMC: 7074971), a British General Practitioner. Who has made deeply disturbing statements on social media. Most gravely, he is alleged to have responded “not enough” when asked about the number of Palestinian babies he had “sniped,” which he then reportedly claimed was a “joke.”
Why This Is an Unprecedented Emergency:
Alleged Admission to War Crimes: Describing the targeting of infants, even under the guise of “humour,” constitutes an alleged admission of acts that are considered grave breaches of international humanitarian law and war crimes. This is fundamentally different from offensive opinions.
Immediate Threat to Public Safety & Trust: A medical professional who publicly engages with, normalises, or jokes about the murder of children cannot be presumed to uphold the sanctity of life central to medical practice. Public trust in the profession is catastrophically damaged.
Duty to Report Serious Crimes: The alleged content suggests knowledge or admission of the most serious crimes imaginable. Regulatory bodies have a duty to treat this with the utmost seriousness and involve appropriate legal authorities.
Gross Ethical Abandonment: This goes beyond bias or offensive language. It represents an alleged complete abandonment of the ethical foundation of medicine—to preserve life and do no harm. Palestinian lives matter, we affirm their value, dignity, and right to safety of all Palestinians. jokes that dehumanise, mock, or make light of Palestinian suffering —especially during a time of Genocide are not acceptable.
Our Demands:
Immediate Interim Suspension: The General Medical Council must use its powers to immediately suspend Dr. Staveley’s medical licence pending a full investigation. The alleged statements present a clear, present, and undeniable risk to public confidence in the profession.
Criminal Investigation Referral: The GMC must immediately refer the matter to the relevant UK police authorities for investigation of potential offences, including incitement to racial hatred and, given the international context, support for or admission of war crimes.
Transparent & Expedited GMC Investigation: A full Fitness to Practise investigation must be conducted with urgency and transparency, with a commitment to publicise its outcome.
Accountability: Should the allegations be substantiated, the only appropriate outcome is permanent erasure from the medical register. There can be no place in the healing profession for someone who engages with such material.
This is the Context:
He has reportedly been removed from his private practice. The fact he retains his licence to practise medicine while facing these specific, horrific allegations is indefensible and sends a dangerous message about accountability.

Sample Email/Message:
“To the General Medical Council,
I am writing to demand the immediate interim suspension of Dr. Eastland Christopher Staveley (GMC: 7074971) and a referral to police authorities.
It is reported that Dr. Staveley has made statements on social media, including responding ‘not enough’ when questioned on how many babies he had ‘sniped’. This represents an alleged admission of, or association with, acts that are grave breaches of international law and war crimes.
The public cannot have confidence in a medical professional who engages with the concept of murdering children. His retention of a medical licence is a scandal and a direct threat to public trust in the entire profession, especially when Dr’s & nurses are being dismissed for simply wearing badges or advocating against the Gaza genocide, where we have seen health care professionals and hospitals deliberately targeted.
I urge you to act with the urgency this demands: suspend his licence immediately and refer this matter to the police for criminal investigation. The core principle of ‘first, do no harm’ has been utterly violated by these statements.
Yours sincerely,
[Your Name]”
