Last week MPACUK issued an action alert around midday on 26th October demanding Tories apologise for sharing a platform with Tapan Gosh who is a well-known anti-Muslim extremist.

Due to all the public pressure, senior Conservative party members began distancing themselves from Ghosh on the evening of 26th October.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd, who was at the Diwali event Ghosh attended, said she “fundamentally disagrees with Mr Ghosh’s views on Islam”.

Bob Blackman, the Tory MP who jointly organised the Parliament event, also distanced himself from Ghosh.

Tapan Gosh was invited by the National Hindu Council of Temples (NHCTUK), a registered charity in the UK.

Despite Gosh’s record and senior politicians backtracking on this, Satish Sharma, general secretary of the UK wing of NCHT, still defended the decision to invite Tapan Ghosh.

Write to the Charity Commission demanding that the NHCTUK is stripped of their charity status for inciting hatred by inviting Tapan Gosh and continuing to stand by him.
