ACTION ALERT: Demand Your MP To Speaks Against Prevent In Upcoming Parliament Debate
On Wednesday 1st February, Parliament will hold a Westminster Hall debate about the draconian Prevent strategy in schools.
Prevent has targeted many Muslim in the UK – the current duty on schools means that Muslim children are being treated as potential terrorists!
It is harming our communities and must be removed from schools – there are already safeguarding measures in place. Prevent protects no one, but just causes more problems for us all.

2) Ask your MP to tell you their stance on Prevent
3) Message MPACUK with a copy of your MP’s reply, so we can congratulate those who are against Prevent and name and shame those who are against Prevent

There is a Parliamentary debate on the role of counter-extremism, particularly Prevent in schools on the 1st February.
Prevent has been heavily criticised and rubbished by academics worldwide. [1]
In addition, Prevent has created a climate where Muslims are being systematically discriminated against.
Most recently, an Education Authority has admitted to racially discriminating against 2 Muslim children [2] after the school referred them to Prevent over carrying a toy gun.
This is just one of numerous incidents. A string of incidents, including the nursery “cooker bomb” [3] and spying on pro-Palestinian students [4] only emphasise just how toxic Prevent is.
As my representative in Parliament, I request:
a) you attend the debate and speak against Prevent
b) write back to me and tell me what your views on Prevent are
