Andrew Gilligan‘s crusade against Islam continues.

In his latest diatribe in the Telegraph, the well-known Islamophobe has once again sought to criticise any Muslim that tries to defend the rights of Muslims who are being targeted by the Prevent programme.

This time the victims are Prevent Watch and Muslim activist Jahangir Mohammed.

Gilligan’s article contains nothing more than slurs, misinformation and scaremongering, in an attempt to stop any legitimate concerns that British Muslim citizens have about the divisive and failing Prevent strategy.

The Prevent strategy has been proven to be toxic and has been criticised by over 360 of Britain’s finest academic experts, but any Muslim that speaks out against is is labelled an “Islamist” or a “non-violent extremist”.

When hate preaching anti-Muslim think tanks, such as the Neo-Con Henry Jackson Society make it their mantra that conditions for Muslims should be made harder across the board, Gilligan, as well as other right-wing journalists have taken that as their life’s ambition.

Gilligan’s article attempts to paint them as extremists or terrorist sympathisers – no links are provided, and nothing is properly explained.

The article by Gilligan is nothing but a hatchet-job on Prevent Watch and Jahangir Mohammed.

The only reason why they have been targeted is because Gilligan wants to silence any Muslim organisation and activist that speaks out against the governments draconian “thought crime” policies.

Jahangir & Prevent Watch are one of the few Muslims who stand up for the rights of innocent Muslims that get unjustly criminalised or discriminate against.

We must stand with them.
