Following the recent Islamophobic abuse that was hurled at a Muslim woman on a London bus, once again we see a Muslim being abused on London transport.
This time abuse was hurled at an elderly Muslim man who needs a disability walking frame.

Contact Transport for London (TfL) & the Police to highlight this incident.
- Demand that the Police address this issue and record it as an Islamophobic incident
- Complain to TfL about why, once again, the driver did not take any form of action to ensure the safety of passengers – especially for the elderly man who was having abuse hurled at him
- Demand assurances from the TfL that there will take better measures to ensure the safety of passengers in such instances and that current failings will be addressed

Here is an example of a letter, sent to us by a member of the public, that you can use as a template when writing your complaint:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Following the recent verbal Islamophobic racial attack on the 206 bus I would like to bring your attention towards yet another similar attack within days on another London bus (most likely the 149).
Please see footage captured by a fellow passenger later uploaded on YouTube https://youtu.be/6gQHlvwBpso .
What is even more shocking is that towards the end of the incident, when the attacker gets off the bus, he throws away what appears to be the victim’s disabled standing frame!
Throughout the entire incident yet again, as with the incident on the 206 bus, the driver doesn’t seem to do anything at all to ensure the safety of passengers!
I expected that the driver, who has the public’s safety in their interest, would have taken more steps to ensure that things did not escalate and that everyone was safe. The driver took no such steps at all. I hope you take immediate action to identify this person to the Police and also make it clear to the public that if such an incident was to happen again, there will be measures in place that would ensure the safety of all passengers.
I look forward to hearing from you soon about this.
Regards,
